I think it would be a great idea for the Big Ten to get ahead of the curve on this one. If the Big Ten were to position itself with a strong Lacrosse league in the future then I think some of the schools without a club would start one. It's not like there would be a heavy entrance cost. It wouldn't be all that hard for them to recruit either. With that league line up, there would be plenty of players to pick up that did not land on one of the top programs in the league.

I'm sure part of the appeal might be getting to use football stadiums that sit empty 44-45 weekends per year-another 6 or 7 dates can go a long way in absorbing costs.
