+1 Nice to see the team get a road win after the heart breaking loss to Southern Miss

We really had a tough stretch through multiple sports since that loss. Good to get the W.

We might go down in the 1st round of the tournament. But I will say this, we are not a team anyone wants to draw in March. Marshall is the only one in this league to truly handle us.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda, but we could easily be sitting at 8-4 in this league right now.
I expect to go 3-1 down the stretch without lone remaining loss to USM.

There may be freezing rain later on. A few years ago, we had one that literally put the entire city out of commision for days, even weeks. No power. As a matter of fact my power was out for over ten days. Some people didn't have any electiric power for over a month.
Good game by you guys, but we only have a few warm bodies left to play and some of them are playing hurt. You have a well polished club. Good schemes and you really fight hard on the boards. Real physical game.
Good luck.

I have no idea of the importance level of the guys you are missing. But ECU is missing 4 scholarship players right now. Straughn is redshirting and out for the year, Gaines is now out for the year, Bowden may also be done for the year, and Torlak (never plays) is also out.
But 3 of those guys would see action if we were healthy.

Good game. But, we too have a thin roster, missing G Corvon Gaines, G Shamarr Bowden, G Peter Torlak, G/SF Erin Straughn. We are down four player and minus the two walk-ons that just wouldn't be able to play with C-USA level talent we are basiclly down to 9 player rotation. That's counting Yasin Kolo who has barely played after missing last year with a foot injury and couldn't even work out. He is too far out of shape that he can't really be any help this year. That makes 8 in the rotation, 5 starters and 3 bench players.

RE: ECU @ Tulsa: A battle of attrition for the Pirates.
Sounds like we both have the same problems.
We were thin to begin with when the coaching change cost us probably our best two players who transferred. Then a couple of days after Manning was hired, one of the players who stayed (7-0 Kody Maduka) had a heart condition and almost died in a pickup game (he'll never play again, but is now a team manager). And then arguably our best player, Rashad Smith (6-7 So FW) came up lame after the first 4 games and hasn't played since. Zeldric King (Freshman Power FW) is still out (after a few weeks). Both our leading freshmen Deandre Wright and James Woodard (who've been freshmen of the week 5 different times) have lost games and still aren't healed, but played tonite. Rashad Ray, the hero of the Houston game evidently hit his head in that game and didn't play tonite. Now his fellow PG Shaq Harrison is injured. We also had to play a walkon tonite in limited duty. So I guess we both have had the injury bug big time. The only players I can think of who haven't lost valuable PT is Senior Scottie Haralson and Junior Tim Peete.
Well its 4:00 in the morning and so far we haven't had that freezing rain I've worried about, but there is thunder and its definitely a wet night - which means a possible weather event and snapped/downed power lines. But I think we may get through this wo a problem. The streets on the way home weren't bad.

Great win for the Pirates! Puts us in a nice position for the C-USA tournament... as long as we take care of business down the stretch.
