The 63-51 loss against Florida Gulf Coast which Reggie Johnson played 26 minutes, should have been unforgivable.
They have had a great conference run and I dare not think the the vaunted ACC is weak this year.
Miami didn't have Durand Scott, their leading scorer, for that game. Likely still shouldn't have lost, but 2nd game of the year and all, I dunno.
Miami has developed immensely since the beginning of the season. That's a testament to Larranaga.

Also, let's not forget something here...FGCU is a very good team and are extremely well coached. They have great talent there and some imressive international players that chose to play college ball instead of playing in the European pro leagues. This is a very good team.

We can use the same/similar excuses with the VCU and Minnesota losses, right?
Didn't have G. Johnson for VCU.
Minn. was Johnson's first game and Joe was benched in order to send a message.
Tigers have developed immensely since begnning of season..a testament to Pastner?
I'm not saying I buy it, but if you are going to use it to defend Miami you can use it to defend Memphis.
