I am looking at 6-6 as well. If our quarterback can stop throwing it to the opposing team and we have simply a bad defense instead of pathetic 7 or 8 wins are possible. Right now I will stick with 6. That said it's been a long while since UAB has proven it can win 6 games. Time for football to play its part.

That Troy game to begin the season is a "must win." It may be unfair to label the first game of the year that way. But to go bowling we have to get the W there.

Can't wait to "Green out" there stadium

I don't remember us ever finishing the year with USM before.

It'd be nice if CUSA would lock in some conference games to the same weekend every year.

Crazy, right?

BTW, I like playing them last, and would like to do it every year.

Apparently UAB will beat and lose to Rice in the regular season.

This is actually a pretty decent analysis. I think, and have thought since McGee arrived, that 6-6 was the number to shoot for this year. It is a likely result with the schedule.

You have to figure UAB should win against Northwestern State, FAU, and @UTSA.(although counting any road game makes me nervous)

Then there is a big jumble of games that could go either way, in the order I see from most likely to least likely to win:

@Troy
Southern Miss
@FIU
MTSU
Rice
@Marshall
@ECU

Then there are the two SEC opponents I assume are losses.

I also agree that the Troy game is huge this year. If UAB wins at Troy, they should go 2-2 in the non-conference portion of the schedule. With early conference games against FAU, FIU, MTSU, and UTSA, there is a realistic chance of getting to 5-3, or even 6-2. It's just so much easier for a coach to sell 2-2, but we lost to two SEC opponents than it is 1-3, and we lost to a Sun Belt program that our conference didn't want to add. I'm just hoping for 6-6 this year. With a little bit of luck, and no bad losses(and we are pretty much trained to believe there will be at least one of these), this team could get to 7-5 or 8-4.

I am actually expecting 6-6 myself, whether that is fair or not.

7-5 (or better... ) would just be ice cream and cake and cake.

We no getto 6-6 minimum and I am gonna be a sad little Panda going into Coach's (final; clutch?) S3...

QB is Key! QB is the queen on the chessboard... We not got it there, we no gatto...
