So I guess every freaking college in America has to do one of these? Jeez. Unoriginal bastards.
As I type this, I'm in a computer lab and the class next door just loudly played one. Wow.
Anyway, I don't really like ours. The banana suit is far from original (maybe a pirate...), the guy with the ECU flag at the end should have run the other way, so the flag would fly the right way, and I guess you can't really make it out, but that big banner said "Budweiser"--wtf? I never heard anything about it beforehand, I wandered on to the scene on my way to the library (that's Joyner Library in the background, along with a replica of the Cupola that was on top of the original Austin Building. The Cupola is used on the academic logo of ECU.)
Contrary to popular belief, the academic logo of ECU isn't actually the Cupola. It's just reminiscent of the arch motif everywhere around campus.
Rice University Harlem Shake featuring Olympian Wallace Spearmon! Rice President David Leebron was there (as I saw him tweet a photo), but I'm not sure where he is in the video.

As far as I know, this is the first shake with a university president; that's UTSA President Romo in the beginning. Student organized too. Go Romo!!
I have watched every one of these videos. I have to say this one is just AWESOME. I now understand the movement of viral. It's not the why, but it is the effect.
Just like the KU coach....he knows it doesn't matter other than his players are happy.
Kudos to the UTSA president....I am converted!
USM needs THAT!
This is starting to become the new contest between universities....and it is driven by what is meaningful to the student body!

This is new to me, so the basic formula is: One person dances poorly while everyone else in the shot ignores them, then cut to the next scene and everyone is dancing poorly wearing goofy costumes. Think I got it now.
