Monmouth leaving the NEC
Monmouth is leaving the NEC for the MAAC for all sports except field hockey which will stay in the NEC as an associate member. The NEC refused to accept Monmouth's football & bowling teams as associate members. Subsequently, Monmouth has joined the Big South Conference for football and is still looking for a home for its bowling team. All in all, this is an upgrade for Monmouth sports.
