The 6 seed looks a lot better than the 5 seed right now (and it likely will end up this way). Rice-UTEP-USM is better than Bye-Tulsa (host team)-Memphis.

The rest of USM's schedule is interesting. You have UTEP and UCF, but those are both in Hattiesburg. Those are two tough opponents, but that should be two wins in the end. You have ECU at home. If you can beat them in Minges, you will beat them in Hattiesburg. @ Memphis is not impossible, but I think it will be very tough. @ Marshall would seem like a win, but you never know which Marshall team is gonna show up. I think USM goes 4-1 with the loss being @ Memphis.
As far as the C-USA tournament, I don't mean to insult anyone, but with UCF out, it just seems to me that this is the Memphis-USM show. I would be very surprised if that were not the match-up in the finals. I also wouldn't be shocked if USM wins that one. Beating a team three times in one season, especially a good team, is extremely difficult.
USM only beat ECU by 2 points at USM last year. So that is not a sure win; and the last 2 games have been decided in overtime. It is hard to say how that game will go.
What's Mike LaPlante think about ECU's tourney chances these days? He was the guy you and Jonesing were quoting like crazy here a few months ago, right?
You should be more concerned with what excuse Pastner is going to use this year when Memphis loses in the first round.
That won't happen, Memphis has a first-round bye wrapped up.
Or are you referring to the NCAA? At least they'll be in it.

Are you referring to the NCAA tourney Marv? You know, were I you I wouldn't refer to things of which I didn't have a working knowledge.
