TUSCALOOSA, Ala. --- University of Alabama Athletics Director Mal Moore announced today that Johnny Williams has been named Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs at Alabama. Williams joins the Tide after serving as Athletics Director at Troy University for the past 11 years.

"This is a position that I have been contemplating for the past 18 months," Moore said. "In his role as a senior associate athletics director, Johnny will have oversight responsibilities of Tide Pride, Marketing and Promotions, Media Relations and the Ticket Office.
