RE: Arctic sea ice gain sets record high
Personally my winters are too cold and my summers too hot. But that seems to be the way it has always been. Some say scientists have proof of something, but would Al Gore use air conditioning so much or fly as much as he does, or have huge houses, if he really believed it and cared about it. He either doesn't believe his own stuff or doesn't give a crap.

what concensus???

Quote: “Third, we show that the consensus of IPCC experts meets a much larger, and again heterogenous, sceptical group of experts in the relevant industries and organizations (at least in Alberta) than is generally assumed. We find that climate science scepticism is not limited to the scientifically illiterate (per Hoffman, 2011a), but well ensconced within this group of professional experts with scientific training – who work as leaders or advisors to management in governmental, nongovernmental, and corporate organizations.”

…

“The vast majority of these professional experts believe that the climate is changing; it is the cause, the severity and the urgency of the problem, and the need to take action, especially the efficacy of regulation, that is at issue.”

American Thinker discussed this on the 14th.

I haven't had time to read the whole article, to see if they're interpreting it fairly, but it's available here

I hope it holds up, b/c this scientific consensus argument is getting tiresome, and it will be nice to destroy the last shred of whatever the the climate astrologers cling to.
