This is the kind of thing that just burns my butt. Tarik gets called for it all the time. He can be established in position, standing still, arms straight up, and the offender (heh) leaps into him and draws a foul. What?! Unless an offender is totally noticeably out of control or totally noticeably lowers his shoulder, he is never called for a charge, but Tarik gets the blocking foul. Contact is gonna happen, but whatever became of "no advantage" - no harm, no foul. Sheesh!
Tarik doesn't keep his arms straight up -- that's part of his problem. The bigger part is that, instead of establishing position, he's usually moving with his man and going for a block. You have to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em, and he's still learning that part.

If a big man picks up a foul, some coaches will actually call plays to repeatedly take the ball straight at the big man with a foul so he can get a 2nd foul, then a 3rd foul. Just because we don't do that, doesnt mean other teams don't. Smart players and coaches will take advantage of drawing fouls on certain players.
During the Louisville game, Siva would jump INTO one of our players every time he shot the ball. He drew fouls on our players.
Yes, he drew fouls by jumping his elbow INTO Joe's face. DJ also got "suckered" into a couple of fouls and an out of bounds call by smart Loserville players who anticipated where he would land after he jumped and made it to that spot a split second before him.
That is winning basketball if your mission in life is to criticize Pastner at every turn.
They may have anticipated DJ’s moves on out of bound plays a couple of times but they were also sliding under our players going for rebounds, block shots (ect). Once a player is in the air it is illegal to move to the spot where he lands. Other refs call it all of the time because not only is it a foul, it can lead to serious injury.
These refs ignored it in this game. All 3 of them.

Lol, not every night.
But when reminded it’s hard to forget your team getting blatantly screwed in a very important game.
Get over it…yes. Forget? Don't think so.

It is the difference in being ranked in the top 6-8, an RPI in the teens, and a 2-4 seed in the tournament, instead of where we are now.

Not disagreeing with that, but that game was two months ago and we have multiple recent threads on it including this one that is now 10 pages.
a) we got screwed
b) nothing we can do about it now
Those are not mutually exclusive points.
Although I agree we got jobbed, it seems somewhat winy to keep bringing it up months later.
It has now been 1 0 days since this season's Louisville game has been brought up.

Those semi undercuts with no fouls called were my biggest gripe.
I'm a Josh fan, but I did not understand why he didn't make a big issue with the refs about the very dangerous undercutting technique being used over and over and over.
Dirty play in my mind

Yep - as well as offsetting T's on 2 players.
