C-USA and Pac 12 forums
I came to the site for C-USA and USM, but I live in Mesa Az. not far from Arizona State Univ. so I was thrilled to see a lively C-USA but I also support to a lesser degree ASU so I was surprised to see the Pac 12 board is inactive. I was wondering why and honestly proud to see it is Pac 12 not C-USA inactive. I would like to see the Pac 12 active as well and wonder why it is.

CSNBBS is the non-AQ version of college sports message boards.

Seriously, barely any Big 5 conference fans post here, funny how things sort themselves out.

RE: C-USA and Pac 12 forums
I don't think that fans from the big conferences are as passionate. About 60% of them have never even been to campus. They just saw a logo they liked and bought a hat. Sure, places like LSU and Bama have passionate fans, but they just repeat the same things all the time: the SEC is the best, Jordan Jefferson sucks, ND would be 6-5 in the SEC, etc. They havemessage boards, but I don't find them very entertaining.

Here, on the other hand, there's a lot more honest discussion and a lot more entertainment value. Mid-major sports are entertaining. AQ sports are more of a social/business thing. They're much more prestigious, sure, but they're not very entertaining (at least, not if you don't care about the outcome).

I never thought about it that way. You just might be right.

very interesting thought indeed and one I have say has merit. I live close to Arizona State and see many ASU shirts, and some U of A shirts and most couldn't tell you much about the schools. Of course those close as I am to ASU can tell you about getting to places around campus but more than you would guess couldn't tell you what the stadium is like on gameday.

RE: C-USA and Pac 12 forums
There are hundreds of fan sites, probably dozens of conference fan sites, and at least 4 networks similar for NCAABBS/CSNBBS that I can think of off the top of my head (some bigger than CSNBBS). Luck of the draw (and advertising, and quality) kinda determines where they go.

hard to say why some of the conference forums are barely active here. could just be how people get to here from there.

That said, the CUSA forum here has been way better for conference talk than any other CUSA forum I have ever visited.
