RE: So who is our backup QB next year?
I believe Hare and Williams has something to do with the decision to be the traveling QB. There was an article about it and Hare felt better being the practice squad QB and Williams was okay with being the emergency QB.
As of right now the next QB is McIntosh but that can change over the coarse of the next year and a half.

RE: So who is our backup QB next year?
Coaches usually recruit a player based upon "style" of football they intend to play.....
No real huge style difference from Carey to DD to Kill....
This usually means best man plays regardless of who was head coach at the time they were recruited. Plus it never hurts to have more than
one QB when they are asked to carry the football.

The offense we ran under Doeren and Kill were completely different from each other.

I would rather have Lynch backing up Harnish than what we have now.
lol. weren't you one of the guys bemoaning how we were doomed without Harnish? Probably was a big Grady fan too.
Guys develop, I'd be pretty stoked to have someone who was "Mr. Indiana Football" waiting in the wings. The kids got sizzle. Look at his stats from last year alone.

LULZ if saying people expecting there not to be a dropoff need to re-adjust their expectations means I was "bemoaning how we were doomed" then yes I was one of those guys LULLLLZ.

I dare somebody to find an old thread that would predict Lynch would be better than Harnish before the season started. We had no idea how great Lynch would be after the Iowa game.

Kill QB's are asked to do similar to what Doreen QB's are asked.
So a Kill recruit and a Doreen recruit are apples and apples.
You can pick it apart if you want but take a guy like Novak,
his "Style" is completely different.
That is apples and oranges for a recruit.

What does LULZ mean?
*edit, I had to look it up on urban dictionary
That seals it, I cannot listen to someones analysis of college level quarterbacks who talks like a High School Cheerleader text messaging. I thought G-Force graduated high school??

MD was saying there would be no dropoff at all. MD is crazy.
(MD was right).

Oh for sure, that's true, but QBs are asked to do way more under Doeren than Kill. DD's offense is much more difficult to stop.

I would love to take credit for that, but I thought there would be a little bit of a drop off. My argument was just looking around the rest of the MAC and comparing the relative dropoffness. That is where I thought NIU as in a good position compared to the other contenders.
