The north side seems to have covered exits now. Not in the renderings from what I could tell.

Hey NIU8484 - You touched on another off-season topic. "Will NCAA'XX have <insert stadium upgrade, fight song, or new uni's here>?" If past years are any indication they won't have the CPC in it until at least 2 versions from now. So I'm guessing NCAA'16.

Maybe they'll get the black jerseys in '14 but that's wishful thinking too.

And don't get your hopes up for the fight song. We've been wondering that for a decade or so.

Ya I just upgraded from 2010 this season, actually seeing grant towers and the yorden center was a nice change. I couldn't agree more on the stadium upgraded....I love dynasty mode, but it would be much improved if you could renovate stadiums, incorporate some sort of financial aspects to the program management, and make the game scheduling incorporate negotiations (not just be able to play whoever whenever),

You guys keep saying you can't believe how big the CPC is - did you think they were going to build a miniature football field instead of a real one? Did you not realize how big a football field actually is?

It's nice of them to make it more visually realistic, but they have slacked immensely on the gameplay aspect. I had to stop buying it. So many bugs, teleporting players, etc.

Didn't renew with the NCAA for the rights or something like that.

Not sure, stopped paying attention. Last game I bought was '10

It may be exclusive rights....so they may make it along with other parties in the futre...i'm not sure though, can't see them halting it given the popularity...I believe Madden is in the same boat, so you may see NFL2K series again

I agree that the red looks bad behind the endzone facility, it clashes, looks garish and with different color pannels it could look so much better. If the budget did not permit brick and glass I would have gone with brown panels with a similar color as the brick on the Yordan Center. I guess brown pannels with a white roof might look bad as well.

I am sure that the facility itself will be first class, and we are fortunate to have it. I just wish that NIU would care more about the overall look and feel of the entire campus including the esthetics of this project.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion here. I like it others seem to not like it. Agree with you on the campus mismatches, but the last few have been much better even outside of athletics.

Mismatches occur because of the number of years between projects. Compare the oldest bldgs versus the ones added from each decade since the 60's as enrollment increased.

They should have stuck with the traditional campus look (eg Depauw in Indiana, Miami Ohio etc) throughout the decades but did not and we are stuck with what we have.

I asked about the esthetics of the CPC during a presentation about a year ago...I was told money was an issue....had to keep costs down.
Not a good answer..

Doubt it but maybe showing off the rec complex progress?

You can see the 2 new soccer fields with Field Turf along with the poles for the lights.


This camera would be good for the scoreboard view this summer while the other camera is still on the CPC.
