Change "sports programs" to "basketball", and you'd be right. Don't lump our football program in with Tulane. We've averaged ~30k for the past few years, near the top of CUSA.

I guess that's true if you consider 27,247 to be about 30,000. It's actually closer to 25,000 if you are looking to round. I will admit that you did average over 31,000 in 2011. So apparently, as long as you can go 12-0 and be ranked you can draw over 30,000.

We averaged 31k+ in 2010 whenever we went 5-7.

Average the last 3 years, it's >30k. Just like I said. Good try, though.

Been to plenty UTEP v. UH games at both Hofheinz and Robertson. UTEP never brought more than a couple hundred at either venue.

You think Seton Hall and DePaul have big fan support? Better than Houston, but probably no better than most of the bottom of Cusa.

Depaul would be 3rd (behind Memphis and UTEP) and Seton Hall 4th in attendance if they were in C-USA. They both typically average around 7,000 per game.

more than a couple hundred, but anyways, a couple hundred by any school is probably all it would take to get home court @ houston

Which is Exhibit A why we will have a coaching change. Our season ticket holders don't come. I know several who are giving their tickets up unless we get a new coach.

I remember watching his, Tim Floyd's (and one more maybe Lebo?) press conferences when they were introduced within a short time of each other and thinking that two were very impressive and full of desire to win and the other was very tentative. That's close to what's playing out.

With it's budget, donor base, location, etc; the Cougars should be able to hire a really good coach this time around. Houston has certainly seen what happens when a really good coach isn't hired.

You lose five of the last six to Rice and you can't expect to draw many casual fans.

Casual fans don't come because we play garbage OOC schedules. Informed fans don't come because they saw through the sham that was our 10-2 record (against the worst sched in the country) and our 8th grade girl's basketball coach.
