Getting to 10 BE wins would mean at least one more top 50 RPI win, that coupled with a 1-1 BE tournament would likely assure Cincinnati of a seed better than 8 (which is what I'd really like them to avoid).

Unless you get stuck in Indiana's bracket, I don't think playing a 1 vs. a 2 in the second round matters much this year. There are a bunch of really solid teams at the top, but none that great. I think getting to a 6 seed or above, however, is enormous.

UCs record away from home should help seeding.

Michigan and Florida are two other teams that I consider bad match ups for Cincinnati.

While you may be right. Both could very well by 2 seeds come selection Sunday. My general point is I think the 1 and 2 seeds are fairly even this year. Getting a 6 seed and above seems important, but I am not sure the difference between an 8/7 is as drastic as it at times can be.

He received official warnings that put his warning level over 50% due to the thread mentioned above as well as the fact that he constantly caused problems on the Big East board. When a warning level goes over 50% all posts must be approved by a moderator. Instead of dealing with that for a short period of time until the warnings putting him at that level expired, he decided to shift to another account he had. Due to the constant problems he caused on the site, and his attempt to circumvent the system we have in place to keep problem posters in check, the decision was made to ban both the BearcatBounce and Riptsa accounts.

If we hit shots we can beat anyone, plus it's March and 1 and 2 seeds get "upset", I'd be fine being this year's Cinderella.

In the last 12 years there have only been 3 #8 seeds and 2 #9 seeds that have made the Sweet 16. Butler did reach the Finals as a #8 two years ago though. The top seeds aren't as strong this year, but it's still very difficult to win two games from the 8/9 matchup.

If I was a fan of one of the top seeds that potentially had to play us I would dread it just because of how many 3's we shoot. With our defense and rebounding we are going to win IF we hit from the outside.

RE: Computer Numbers and Bracketology Thread
we gotta hit some free throws to do anything in March...of course we would shoot a lot more of them if we attacked the rim like we should rather than pass the ball around the perimeter and jack a 3

I hope we get an 11 seed, seriously, play a 6 seed ( Colo.State, Creighton, etc.) then a 3 seed ( Butler ). Will take this in a minute.

In order to be an 11 you have to barely make it into the tourney. You want to deal with the possibility of not making it at all?

If UC is going to continue to lose games they are in position to win, I'd be happy with the season ending today and getting ready for next season. Way too much frustration and nothing to get excited about. I didn't watch last game and probably won't watch today's game. Too ugly for me.
