Never too early to discuss tailgating, right? Here's an email I got from UC today regarding The Grid:

Dear 2012 Grid Plot holder,



Tomorrow you will receive an email from the UC Ticket Office prompting you to renew your Football Season tickets, parking passes, and UCATS Gift for the 2013 season. Information regarding your tailgating plot will not be included. However, if you would like to renew your Grid plot at this time, please call the UCATS office at 513-556-4884.



The UCATS office will be following up with you in the near future to renew your plot for the 2013 season. You will have the first right of refusal to retain your plot(s). After June 1st, any unsold Grid plots will be available for purchase on a first come first served basis.



We are really excited to announce some new amenities to the Grid for 2013 which are the following:

- Curbside Caddie Service – students will be on hand at the University Circle (off Jefferson Avenue) to carry tailgating supplies to your plot to help make the unloading process more convenient. This service is complimentary to all Grid plot holders.

- University Garage Parking – all Grid plots holders will receive a University Garage Parking Pass (value $84) with each Grid plot purchased.

- Customer Service Center – located adjacent to the Sigma Sigma Tower, there will be a customer service tent to assist with any game day concerns.



Grid plots will be sold on a season-long basis for $400.

The parking pass is a "no ****" idea in my eyes. Students helping unload is a nice touch, but we have our loading/unloading down to such a science now they'd probably get in my way. Plus we usually get there before the place is supposed to open, but I can see how it would help some of the groups with a TON of stuff, or the older crowd.

Has there been any further discussions regarding Burnet Woods? I doubt we'll ever leave The Grid. Sure it's a pain to load/unload, but the atmosphere is unbeatable.
