I've been creeping on his twitter for awhile he mentions a new team that he loves almost every other day. Not to sure how serious he is about anything on twitter... Might just be looking for reactions.

You can remove Andrew Roach from our 2014 list. He has left us for Syracuse and is about to bail on them for Texas Tech.

Please delete the Roach ASAP.

Per Andrew Roach's Twitter account BIO @Shady7_ he has Committed to NIU as a 2014 DB! Hopefully it stays that way until signing day. Seems like he has been back and forth quite a bit. But awesome commit, seems to have had some other legit offers.

Not sure why his twitter background is the Carrier Dome in Syracuse but who knows. I also can't find him on any recruiting sites...what "legit offers" are you seeing?

What I've deducted from browsing his twitter feed...

He's liked us since March. Said we were his #1 on April 1st. Apparently he had some sort of visit to Rutgers and Texas Tech. He also also mentioned Florida, Iowa State and Maryland in some capacity. Who knows. Sounds like he'd be a good get but I don't see much about him on any scouting boards. Here is his hudl tape

I think this kid is full of bs trying to impress his high school buddies on twitter...

1st official commit is Jacob Maxwell OL 6'7" 280 lbs from Wisconsin.

So far, all three of the commits are tall for their positions. Tall doesn't necessarily mean good, but it doesn't hurt.

Tall on the O-Line is important. Most BCS O-lines have 6'7" or taller tackles these days. I think if we have a small RB, they would benefit from big O-lines. If the defense has a hard time seeing the handoff, it allows another split second to get to the hole faster.

just watched the highlight video of Ben Niemann for the 1st time... Wow, kid is a BEAST! When he first committed I just thought it was bc he was a coach's son, but kid can play! Big, Fast & Athletic

im hoping WR, but i bet his dad wants him on D

I can never tell from watching those highlight videos. With his listed 40 time he's not fast, so hopefully with his size he can go up and get the ball - there weren't many opportunities for that in the highlight film. And of course he's playing against high-schoolers vs. college players. Unless they're really fast or elusive or show difficult catches being made, I find it hard to be impressed by highlight films. Especially when the films don't show how many passes were dropped.
