I hope the day will come soon, when the "basketball only" fan buys into to the football program. The administration, now understands the importance of our football program and the "heavy-hitters" in the city of Memphis have put their efforts behind it. We are going to see a great change, an improvement, in the way things are done. The support is there and you can see it in the quality of our assistant coaches and their stability. These guys moved to Memphis and bought houses. They didn't rent apartments. Plus, to a man, they believe in the head coach.
We are going to have a program that we can be proud of.
^^^^THIS !!!! And also the fact that several assistants were offered, after the season, to leave for other positions and have decided to stay, IMO, speaks volumes for the direction of this program.

As seems to happen with a few things here, this whole thing got blown way out of proportion.

One of my fondest college memories was going to the Rondevous for signing day my freshman year, then stumbling to the Pyramid for the Louisville game. That was Sean Banks' freshman year.

BB can't support the increase in spending that we are experiencing. Revenue from our basketball program maxed out during the Cal era.
The hope to grow this school's finances rests on the gridiron.
