Congratulations: Like ECU most of Tulsa recruits will be playing in NBE>

Obvious troll is obvious.

Should we start a betting pool with the winner getting the pot who figures out what school r2pirate actually pulls for ??

I only had congratulations post to Tulsa and an opinion.

FAU is done and all are in that were expected. Didnt lose a one to a "big school" poaching.

One nice surprise was that a 3* FIU commit turned down a full ride at FIU to be a preferred walk on at FAU. Thanks for firing Cristobal kittes, we really appreciate it.

Maybe if he can get in the weight room and gain some weight he can be moved to slot WR if he has decent hands. Unless the guy is just relentless like a Garade Mercer or Chris Royal, I can't see him playing D-.

But then again thats why Im not a coach.

If FSU offered him, then there must be something that we aren't seeing.

The last info I saw on him was 5-10, 170 lbs

Everyone of those non-qualifiers from last years highly rated class will see the field this season. Any who don't make is this year will likely make it next. if that's what it takes, so be it.

This will make three years of highly rated classes for Marshall and I believe you will see the results this fall. Had Marshall had even anything resembling a D in 2012, they would have won the conference going away. That isn't trash talk or smack y'all. Anyone who watched Marshall this season will likely agree with me.

RE: CUSA Signing Day Central
Question for Herd fans regarding non-qualifiers. Do you guys sign and place them ala Troy or do you guys simply keep them on campus for a year until they're eligible?

For those not familiar Troy had developed a JUCO pipeline where they sign non-qualifiers and place them in a preferred JC with the promise that the JC would send them right back to Troy a year or two later. They would oversign by 10 to 12 a year with most of them going to a JC. It's completely legal, so I'm not bringing it up to say it's nefarious. I was just curious how Marshall approaches it? Generally, MT does not recruit NQ's. BTW, the recently implemented annual signee cap seemingly has hurt Troy's ability to do this since it went into effect, so I'm guessing it's curbing the practice for all schools that did it.

All of Marshall's recruits will be on campus and go to class.

Most if not all will be enrolled with Marshall's HELP Program.

Marshall HELP Program

NQers have to pay their own way and do not count against the APR. They are not allowed to practice or be in the same facility as the team when practicing. They also are not allowed to use the weight room. They either have to use the rec center or get a gym membership. They also do not get the playbook until cleared by the NCAA. NQers are basically on their own until eligible.

If you have the ability to take NQers then you should. The UNC system rules have hurt ECU's ability to take more NQers and to get a lot of JUCO's enrolled. We seem to have to sweat over every JUCO we sign because of the UNC system rules. I wish ECU had the ability to take 5 NQers a year, but for whatever reason we can't.

I've got mixed feelings about that, none of which have anything to do with wins or losses. On the plus side, you're giving a young man an opportunity to attend college and graduate that, based on grades, might never have the opportunity.

Tech did o.k., but it was difficult to get much recruiting done with a new coaching staff only a few weeks before signing day. I'm actually glad we have some extra spots left open because the quality of players for Louisiana in 2014 are supposed to be the best we've seen in quite some time
