Pretty sure Wood wasn't here when we hired Wilder. And be doesn't strike me as the do-it-by-committee type.

I've heard the players love him and while he was at Tech he somehow convinced DFS to go there. That's an effing miracle.

WOJO!

But we will be lucky to get him and even luckier to hold him more than three or four years if he is as successful as I would think he would be.

Current mid-major coaches

Ray Harper (Western Kentucky)
John Becker (Vermont)
Dr. Brett Reed (Lehigh)
Jeff Jones (American) --- worked with Wood at UVA
Tom Herrion (Marshall) --- worked with Wood at UVA
Dave Macedo (VWC) --- not mid-major, but a successful head coach

Up and Coming Assistants
John Richardson (ODU)
Mike Rhoades (VCU)
Russ Springmann (Texas)
Matt Graves (Butler)
Jason Gee (Cleveland State)
Dalonte Hill (Maryland)
Hubert Davis (UNC) --- 1st year asst.
Steve Wojciechowski (Duke)
Travis Steele (Xavier)
Tim Fuller (Mizzou)
Jeff Boals (Ohio State)

Former Head Coaches
Dave Leitao (current Mizzou Asst.; former HC at DePaul, Northeastern, UVA)
Darrin Horn (former WKU and South Carolina; worked with Wood at WKU)

Current High-major coaches who could be fired
Josh Pastner (Memphis)
Craig Robinson (Oregon State)

I'm sure there are others I've missed. What are your thoughts?

If Wood hires Sendek or Howland I am going to become a VCU fan.

Hells no! If you were to screw a light bulb into that big mouth it would light up in a NY minute, which is about how long it would take for me to renounce my fanship of ODU mbb. 05-mafia

My guess is it comes from Villa and I would guess either Jeff Boales or Matthew Graves, leaning towards Graves.

R8R if you are referring to Villa 7, that program has closed shop.

I'm guessing Wood made some good connections and targeted some talent at last year's V7.

Dr. Brett Reed should be the first guy we look at!

He took Lehigh from a 4 win team to the NCAA tourney in 3 years.

As long as it's someone that is younger and can better relate to the players, I'm in.

This. We all know this is a great job and should be an easy sell to recruits.

We had over 150 applicants for the Lady Monarch's HC job and a lot of good ones at that.

Yes Wood was at Villa 7 last year with Matthew Graves and Jeff Boales in attendance, I'm sure they spoke.

As long as Wilkes, Corrigan, and Richardson are still on staff I'll be ok.
