Shane gets the rebound and gets fouled. Looks like we are going to win this one, up 4 and Shane going to the line.
We've redeemed ourselves by sending the right guys to the line.
Shane hits both.
82 - 76
Seven straight wins.

Wow, I'm simply impressed. Didn't play their best game, ground it out, got their defense going when they had to, and just showed loads of grit and character.

Toledo eeks out a come from behind one point win over Miami at Savage. Will be pulling for the Eagletts on Sat. to beat the dildos

Didn't think there was any way we were winning this one with the way the defense played the first 35 minutes. Glad we found a way to gut it out. This team just keeps finding a way! Seven in a row!

Wow! 82 to 76 Broncos.
Whittington at the line clinches it, and Hutch down the stretch loomed huge.
Brown was the inspiration that got us back into the game early in the second half.
Ritchie did a great job at the guard spot.
Tava with some great defense. [[
Awesome win against a very talented team.

I like this succinct analysis of the game.

As much as I dog Hawkins, he's getting more mileage out of this group than I thought he would. I just dont know which Hawkins is the real one. The one who got steam rolled by bad attitudes or the one who took a bunch of freshmen to an 8-2 start in the MAC.

Shane will soon be recognized for his play by others around the league. If he is not the most improved player in the league, I don't know who is, in terms of contributing to his team's success.
Hutch came up big down the stretch with defense, athleticism and a surprisingly soft touch on those amazing put backs.
D Brown hit some key 3s. The bench got some things going again.
The mark of a pretty good team is not playing well and still finding a way to win. I like the grit of this group. Attitude and will.

Both...lets just hope he never recruits the PSL again (joking)...or recruits fat kids from Ohio.

Wonder if he ended up with a roster of bad attitudes the past couple years?

I really think injuries, bad attitudes, as Pez suggested, and defections influenced the results over the years. Those areas were monumental.
This team is different in so many ways, and they all seem to accept their roles and want the team to win as opposed to gaining individual attention.

2 years ago few complained.
Last year plenty of disappointment.
Finger pointing galore.
But attitudes which are subjective aside.
Brown starting to show and goes down for year before Jan 1.
Mikey is playing with one arm, his non shooting arm. Shoulder slips out of socket at Duke.
Ward on one leg as stress fracture rears ugly head.
There wasnt a lot of room for error.
Add to the above objective truth the question re attitude. Not difficult to figure out.

Robin Hook told Hawk postgame that this was one of the greatest wins that he has been associated with at WMU. I agree. Great win over a program that has owned us for too long.
The atmosphere at UA was electric. Kent kept hitting big 3's all night, and we would somehow hang in there. But when money time came we showed we have weapons. And it wasn't just Shayne or DB, it was Mr. Hutch. Great defense on Chris Evans, and still have the energy to hit 3 huge shots to help his team to the win.
This year has been so much fun.
Keep it going Broncos

I'm going to second, or third, the simply impressed comment. These guys are gelling as a team in a way I haven't seen since 2004 or 2005.
The next month could be a lot of fun...

Every time the crowd stood and got loud on defense, we got called for a foul. I think one of the refs had a migraine.

Glad to see Terry Wymer was an official. He and Hawk havent gotten along in the past if I recall correctly. However, Wymer has been calling some big games the last couple years. He seems to be moving up the ladder some.
I noted long time big time ref Hightower helped call the Toledo game.
Just keep Bo Belinsky, James Ferrari and that dope I mentioned last week (Larry?). All bad.
