I know we did a preseason prediction thread, but you've watched this team play all season so far. What games do they win; what games do they lose?

What's a successful end to the regular season in your mind?

I'm torn. Mick's teams have finished strong the last 2 years: going 7-2 last year down the stretch and 6-3 the year before. 6-3 this year puts em at 12-6 in the Big East - which is what they finished last year. Is that good? bad?

If they go 6-3 over the last 9 and finish 12-8 (24-7) I'd be happy with that.

UC keeps winning, but nothing comes easy for them. I think 6-3 is a realistic estimate with the schedule they have left.

I could make an argument that they could go 7-2 or just as easily 4-5. Just that kind of team.

exactly . They could also be out in round 2 of the NCAA or go to the Elite 8 if they catch lightning in a bottle.

All that said, Id be happy with a 6-3 ending / 12-6 in the Big East and another Sweet 16 appearance. More than that is gravy . Less would be a slight disappointment.

Regardless the future of this team is bright for next year and beyond.

I went more positive with my prediction because UC is finally getting some production and defense out of the 4 and 5 positions. I believe the Cats will go as far as those two positions give them effort and produce. If Cheik, JJ, Gaines and Co. keep up what they've done in the past two games, UC could have a great season. If they regress, all bets are off.

Yeah, I'll say 6-3. Could see 4-5 as well.

Personally I don't think ND is as good as many people on here believe. We should not lose to them twice this year regardless if its away or not. They beat us at home. We should (if we take good shots and play are regular tough D) beat them at their home court as well

I see losses to UL and one against UConn. But all these games are winnable and the end of the year is the perfect time to start to get hot and make a giant run

I'll take 6-3 any day. I don't think 7-2 (or even 8-1) should be considered a ridiculous expectation either.

6-3 seems about right. Mark it down a loss at ND.

I'm not marking down any game as a loss. With our defense, if Parker or Rubles gets hot and Kilpatrick and Wright do what they do, we beat anyone.

Conversely, one cold shooting night and we can lose to anyone.

I'm just sayin, calls generally do not go your way at ND.

5-4 and 11-7 is the line.

this team is just too hard to guage right now.

Will SK stay hot? How will Cash's kneed hold up? The flash we saw from JJ vs SH...one game wonder or will he start doing this more and more? Rubles...will he start hitting some shots?

7-2 is realistic....so is 4-5 as many have said in this thread.

I can officially more easily make an argument for 4-5. Dang. Perhaps 3-6.
