Really? You want to run off a 7-2 guy that basically erases the paint?
He may not be superman down low, but he has been more than competent as a reserve. Remember how Cheikh didn't do much last year, and how he is a big contributor now? I expect similar progression from D-Ny.
Most people don't INSTANTLY become BE caliber players.
I just don't see him as an eraser against BE competition but I get what you all are saying that he the best we have at this point. Him getting major minutes really worries me.
I'm just worried that it's Morman from all the rumors of him not qualifying and I really like the videos I've seen of him.

Yeah... if that is the case, I would hope that Mormon would be able to join a year later.

I was reading up on Morman and from what I can understand he is at a prep school in Florida right now. I thought this would be his 5th year already.

I don't believe Mick will drop Nyarsuk next year but seriously, does anybody think this guy will get better? he is afraid to dunk with anyone near him. It puzzles me how these guys from Europe just don't like mixing it up inside.

I do. I. Thomas and Cheikh were both described (and this, to be kindly as possible), tentative in their Jr. seasons. Both eventually were able to be very productive Srs.
We'll see, but I've seen enough improvement in Bearcat players from one year to the next, that I will seldom ever give up on a particular player.

I think he will. He has shown flashes all year of what he can be, and it often takes junior college players until their second year to really produce.

I do, too. Christ, UC loses the Pitt game without him. He is not going anywhere.
If I had to guess, I say the scholarship comes from (in order):
1. Mormon does not qualify.
2. A surprise transfer like Guyn or Sanders who might be looking around hearing the dulcet tones of being recruited over.
3. SK moving on with a degree to get paid. Dude is already 24.

Lots of time to sort this out. Chances are it will happen based on the normal attrition a program goes through in the offseason.

As I understand it, Epp is on scholarship this year and is a senior so his scholarship will be available next year.

UC is one scholarship under the limit, so Epp gets in for the second semseter. Had they brought in a mid season transfer or something, Epp wouldn't have gotten that open scholarship.

He is 7'1", and athletic. How many times does any team get a chance that?
I'm with BJUnk. DN will be much improved next year, and will intimidate and dominate, while we will celebrate his improvement.

Another potential option is sending either Caupain or Johnson to prep school for a year. I know Caupain at least is very young for his age.

You can't drop Nyarsuk for the simple fact that Cincinnati would have no one other than Kelvin Gaines and a true freshman Jamaree Strickland to be the back-to-the-basket big for the Bearcats next season.

That's the first time I have ever heard big Dave described as athletic. I just dont see much upside in his game like i did with thomas and mbodj. I'm very glad kg got some more pt lately I think he has a huge upside.
Watching videos on the internet, I'm drooling over morman he is a serious athlete. Id post a link to him here but im on my phonebut it can be found in the recruiting thread. Johnsons videos don't look too impressive to me and he looks very small to me. Ive only seen one of caupain his seemed better than Johnsons.

That's correct about Epp. That opens up another spot. Billy Boy Koch forgot to mention that fact too. He tends to leave facts on the table for some reason. Either he is too stupid or has an agenda. Most likely a little of both.
