There is a little difference there. ECU and UCF were tied up and if Gaines misses the 3; the game goes into overtime. The shot was a routine one in the course of ECU's regularly run offense, as it was right at the 3 point line. The UTEP shot was a complete chuck job from a couple of steps inside of half court; and no matter how much the UTEP guys lie, that was not part of their regularly run offense. If the UTEP player misses the shot the game is over.

Lying and for that matter cheating are things that your coach is good at; so I am not shocked that you feel that way.

It's a shame that Charlotte and ECU won't be in the same conference for very long as it appears as though it would provide a decent amount of entertainment.

I tell my wife every time she mentions a "lucky shot" that lucky shots count too.03-cloud9 03-nutkick

What I'd like to know is why are easy u. fans such cry babies? They complain about EVERYTHING. I'm an ecu supporter when it came to you going to the little east. I say GOOD RIDDANCE! And I'm sure that the majority of posters here feel the same way.04-cheers:

I would like some insight on my question above. It seems to have been ignored in the tallywhacker measuring contest.

win the regular season title and you are guaranteed at least a spot in the NIT. Before they would pick the best teams remaining, but lately they've picked teams from the big conferences over some of the best available.

I've seen this popping up in a few places but if UCF has that NCAA Post Season Ban for hoops does that mean that if they are say T4 then the 5th place team would actually get the bye because of the post season ban?

If UCF finishes in top 5, the 6th place team would get a 1st round bye (6th place team would become #5 and everyone else moves up a spot)

day 1
6 vs 11
7 vs 10
8 vs 9

Day 2
1 vs 8/9
2 vs 7/10
3 vs 6/11
4 vs 5

I see we got 11 teams in that scenario but you get the 6th place team gets a bye when they play D1?

Ohhh nm........
