I understand...trust me...they don't improve in CUSA either....it's just the way it is...if they were better they would be NFL/NBA/NHL....there is no doubt it sucks regardless....

I think this loss was the best possible thing to happen to us. No more win streak to worry about and it pretty much removes that kinda iffy hope that we could sneak into the tournament as an at large team. Mike just needs to get the guys prepared to beat Denver for the outright WAC title and win the whole tournament. I would much rather us lose the New Mexico State game and win the tournament than go undefeated in conference and lose in the 2nd round of the tournament and pray we get in.

I think it was a terrible loss actually. It was the one team in the WAC that would be a good win and improve your chances of securing an at-large. I think La Tech now has to win the WAC tournament to get in despite having only 4 losses.

If La Tech loses at Denver, then the WAC becomes a 1-bid league, and La Tech must win the conference tourney to get a bid.

If La Tech beats Denver and finishes with a 17-1 record in the WAC, 2 games better than Denver, then I think La Tech makes the Dance as long as they make it to the Finals of the WAC tourney.

We may have no say in that. Denver plays the 2-3 game against them. Unless they somehow beat Denver, which I doubt... but i HOPE White has them ready for the tourney...he didn;t have them ready for the last road trip.
