Just wait til DM gets some players at Tulsa...

Danny Manning's style of play, even without the players, is much more pleasing to watch than some Doug Wojcik ball.

Tulsafanzz, the Golden Hurricane looks completely different under Danny M than they have in previous years. There was a period in the first half where they had a few fast breaks in a row and throughout the game, they played hard/well on defense. Yes, Danny is going to have to go get some players. From what we saw today, they are undermanned. Perhaps this was just a sub-par game, but they just didn't appear to have the athletes or talent to run with a high level team......at least not yet.

Memphis looked really good. DM will eventually get things turned around. He was dealt a tough hand with two key players transfering, Maduka and Bauruti (two returning big men) having career ending health injuries and then a young team showing youthful mistakes and being injury prone (3 out for significant number of games). All that said he has handled it very well and this was one of only a handful of games we were not competitive.

As one of the UM fans said it is certainly more entertaining to which DM's style of play than DW.

Tulsa's freshmen played their worst game against Memphis. I'm sure Memphis D had a lot to do with it ! Our leading scorer, Woodard, was scoreless & had his worst game of the season on Saturday. Our 6 scholarship freshmen had averaged over 54% of our scoring going in to the game. They had helped us win several games so far but overall they under performed Saturday.

Hope you get to see Tulsa play again. Fun team to watch. Manning is a good coach. So much more enjoyable for Tulsa fans this year.
