Oh, and an even better forced 3 after his make. God these guys are frustrating to watch.

Dude please shut the hell up. Did Cash sleep with your wife or something? You spend your time constantly ripping on our most important player, and the guy who has made more big plays down the stretch for UC than anyone on the roster.

32% is not bad first of all...it's not great, but you are fine with a 32% shooter taking some shots. But again, that number is influenced by his struggles in the last couple of games since the knee injury. Prior to that game Cash had been really shooting it from behind the arc (not just Big East play but the entire year). For UC to do well against the best competition they need Cash back completely on his game and feeling comfortable to play it. Cash had a fine half for UC. He's absolute essential to UC's success down the stretch and I don't need to read your constant badmouthing of him.

My point has always been that he just takes dumb shots. He forces them when we don't need it. And to be a 31 or 32% 3pt shooter is mediocre at best especially if you shoot so many of them.

I get he's hurt. Does that affect his basketball IQ?

the majority of great 3 point shooters shoot stupid shots that look ridiculous but when they fall in, the coach and fans don't mind. Its part of the process. Cash has done great for his career with it and am sure he'll get back in the groove soon.

I don't agree with that

You play each possession like you NEED a basket. There is no need to throw up shots unless its the last few seconds of the shot clock. Ball movement is the most important thing to a good offense. On ball screens. Off ball screens. All these give you open shots and get you to the free throw line

I wouldn't call Cash a great 3 point shooter. He could easily set himself up for better shots and let them come to him within the realm of the offense instead of jacking them up time after time. I think he needs to penetrate more or at least threaten to do it more often.

my earlier post was misunderstood. I didn't mean to imply that cash was a great 3 pt shooter but that many great shooters do that. Burton was one of our best and he'd shoot a lot of 28 footers that people would yell oh nooooooooo and then you'd hear a swish and the crowd was happy.

I love when our defense plays like this. We have the type of team that can really challenge Indiana and Michigan if we were to meet. That's why I constantly harp on our offense because they're the ones who will take us to the next level.

Ok. I understand what you're saying. But Burton was a pure shooter and Cash is not.

I don't like bad shots even if they do go in. They are still bad shots and the majority of the time don't go in.

my goodness...UC scored 20 straight points until SHU finally broke the drought. Amazing, especially the way our games start. I love our team's defense and I used to doubt that we would ever see great , tough defense and rebounding after Huggins left. GO uc AND GOOO mICKKKK

Just like the Syracuse game, our bigs needs to turn and face more when they get the ball at the of the key and attack or threaten to attack.
