Tulane can't dodge us this year, so that beating will be cool. Then they'll dodge us again when they can.

Definitely CUSA '14. NO will always be a great destination, but a Marshall series has always been high on the list.

Very pleased that we'll be hosting the Pirates before you guys bail out. I have admired your program for a long time and am glad to be able to see at least one game with you guys.

I think lame duck years suck. I wish ECU & Tulane would hit the road with the rest of them.

I'm just for CUSA not to be in transition. Just glad to not be in the WAC...

I honestly don't care anymore who is on the other side of the field. let's line up, knock heads for about an hour, and see who comes out on top.

the one good thing that has come from all of this realignment crap is that we are conference brethren. it should have happened a long time ago.

I look forward to the game at ruston

I think some of us forget our overall records against USM. Last season was a case of poor coaching and that has been corrected.
As a three time graduate of ECU and now a Pirate Club Member I have seen USM play for several years. I know from past years (except one) all Cusa east division championship go throught USM and USM will be the dark horse this season. Again, I am not a supporter but I do respect what USM has done on the field of play.

Now come on, you have to admit that was well played. You should have said something like "leave it to a Marshall fan not to know a college football game has 60 minutes of clock time".

And BTW, what position do you play so I can warn the team that you will be teeing off on them?

I think Rakeem Cato and Co. are ready to put up another 59 on that vaunted USM defense...

Have you looked at USM's home conference schedule? There's not a single legacy CUSA program that plays in Hattiesburg, not one.

Marshall has the best fans in CUSA; only Southern Miss fans come close (in a close second).

I may try to make the trip this year to watch us play them at the Joan; I would freeze my a$$ off, but I am pretty sure they would keep me warm with booze and friendship...

Tulsa is the only CUSA game I'm predicting we lose outright. USM is going to be a coinflip until we see how they respond after going winless.

OOC I believe we lose to Va Tech and UNC (going to be close in both) and beat ODU and NC State.

RE: In all seriousness, CUSA 2013 vs. CUSA 2014
One of the problems Ole Miss has had through the last several decades is they have lived in the John Vaught era and not moved on to a new time in their program. C-USA is moving on and as long as USM is a part of the conference I expect it to move on as well and not look into the rear view mirror only to become stagnant. There is potential in our new members and in some cases we are already getting better teams on the football field. Memphis isn't as tough a team as MTSU, Tulane is inferior to La. Tech so in these cases it is a better football opponent. Sure USM played Memphis every year but one since 1952, but before we ever played Memphis we were playing La. Tech. I wish all the teams moving on the best but if you think losing you is a death blow then you are not correct.
