Super Bowl prediction
So- what's everyone's prediction for the game?

mine is SF 34 Baltimore 21. I don't think it's going to be all that close.

RE: Super Bowl prediction
I'll go with a variant of 31- 30/28/27 Regardless of who wins.

I can convince myself of various scenarios.

I don't see the game getting into the 40s.

I don't see a blow out happening.

I almost want to call a FG to win it on the last play.

Only 3 or 4 good commercials.

I have NO interest in either team winning.

Close on my 31-28 call. 34-31 Ravens.

Wild score. Beat the over/under. Both teams were very streaky through the year.

It's a good thing for the 49er's that they had the power outage. They had no momentum until after the power came back on...

RE: Super Bowl prediction
imagine what we would have been hearing had the spread been in the Ravens side what it was for the 49ers. Niners were a 4 pt favorite- so if Ravens were 4 pt favorites. The safety would have flipped the winner in Vegas.

Both teams have been streaky all year. I'm not sure it was the power outage.

Bad play selection by Ravens OC hurt them more than once. Caldwell is better than Cameron, but he's got much to learn.

It's tough for the Ravens O to restart after being off the field for 85 minutes. That's not typical at all. (heck, they're lucky it wasn't longer quite frankly if they didn't have the drive at end of 1st half).

I understand, but their performance afterward had plenty of precedent in past games. They've been very streaky on offense, even under Caldwell. And frankly, the play calling by Caldwell did them no favors after such a long break.

85 minutes is as long as I've ever heard of an offense being off the field. They ran 3 plays in about 2 hours of real life time. I've never heard of a scenario like that. Think about it. 3 plays in 2 hours. Football is such a timing game that it really hurts.
