BTW, is it legal for a coach to communicate with the community? I assume it is an NCAA violation because its been many years since we have done it.

I think it is a violation for a coach to show some legitimate emotion outside of whining on the sideline.

The students and Greeks show up for TV games. They show up when we play the best team in the conference. They need to show up Saturday night.

This year, it isn't Memphis. It's USM.

There probably should have been a campout for this game.

Coach was so excited after the game, he led the team up into the stands and the student section. I never seen a coach here do that before. I could see it in his face, he was stoked, man! I like this guy, glad he's UAB's basketball coach! I'll be there Saturday. UTD!

I think this only went out to UAB faculty & staff and season ticket holders. Does that qualify as "the" community? Or were you just being sarcastic and it went right over my head?

I was being sarcastic, but the email went out to others. I got one.

And it didn't go out to employees.

Just out of curiosity, just who did it go out to?

I'm a season ticket holder, a Blazer Rep, a NAS member, and an employee. I don't know which qualified me to get it. I thought there were others in my office that got it, too, who are not any of the above other than employees.

I'm really glad that it has had a positive effect in getting seats filled regardless of who got the email.

It was sent out on twitter, as well...
