Yeah, I don't have any love for Jeremy Mayfield. Of all the sports to participate in while on meth, he chose the worst one.
I was obviously joking, but you are right...that guy dug a hole too deep to get out of....hard to believe to be honest with you...to think about the amount of drivers that would kill for that spot...Allmendinger too....what are these guys thinking???
btw, yes, I am intentionally trying to derail this thread

Allmendinger's suspension was because of the pill he popped. It was nice to see him complete the substance abuse program rather quickly, something Mayfield could learn from.

I really hope you aren't calling me a hypocrite because I've posted nothing about Bowden and don't intend to do so other than this sentence. A Charlotte fan didn't start a thread about the UTEP incident and we have thread for basketball but yet you felt the need to start one about this.
Also, ironic that you called our players thugs:

Since their "Big East" invite very few ECU has brought anything constructive or positive to this board.
And we had a perfectly good thread (the game thread in which it happened) to discuss Bowden's incident and yet there were MULTIPLE threads created about it. Hypocrite.

He's only a hypocrite if he started one of the threads, which he didn't.
No Charlotte fan created a thread about Bowden. We already played you guys this year. We don't care about ECU anymore unless we end up meeting in a post-season tournament.
Also, we suspended the guy indefinitely for weed. You suspended a guy 1 game (because you had to meet the minimum) for piling on a guy and taking swings at his face. I'm pretty sure that since no Charlotte fan started a thread about Bowden, Charlotte fans think Mayfield is an idiot for doing this, Charlotte fans/coaches/administrators have all agreed with coming down harshly, and Charlotte fans tried to warn ECU fans about Bowden's personality (and were often told they were jealous/idiots), I don't see how there is much room to criticize Charlotte fans here. We think he was an idiot and we came down harshly. ECU came down lightly on what most would consider a much greater offense. Not sure I get it.
We think the guy is an idiot for doing it, especially coming down the home stretch of the season. Alas, I'd rather see him punished and run a clean program than snag another win or two.
I'm just glad they suspended him... you break the rules you pay the price! At what point do you stop giving other chances and just toss the rule breaker as never going to change?
