RE: [who is going to] Hattiesburg
We are not staying overnight in Hattiesburg.

We booked a room at the Ramada Inn there a few years ago for Saturday night after a football game. Checked in and the room was dirty, the bed had a big sag in the middle, and I don;t think the towels had been washed. We changed clothes, being careful to not touch anything and then checked out. Went to the football game and drove back to Jackson where we rented a room at the Drury Inn.

A group of us also had a horrible experience another time at the Cracker Barrell in Hattiesburg. We ordered food and waited over an hour then walked out when no food ever showed up. The manager chased us out to the parking lot and offered us coupons to make up for it. We said "no thanks" and ate at Krystal.

Another time we went on the Rebounder's bus. We stopped at a local restaurant and ordered. The food was so long in coming that some folks had to take it "to go" and eat on the bus en route to campus.

So, my wife and I have sworn that we will not buy food or lodging in Hattiesburg ever again.

Just called and purchased 7 tickets from the USM ticket office. My group of awful/ungrateful/non-spirited/uncommitted/non-cheering students will be in Section J row 15. 05-stirthepot Smaller than our group that traveled to UT, but still going nonetheless. Sections J and H are the only sections with tickets still available. Game will probably sell out tomorrow. Where are the Tiger fans meeting before the game for drinks?

Not sure, been trying to get an idea from some people that's hopefully made the trip previously, but mainly get negative feedback on most of the places. The Bar Attendant from the lower "Amsterdam" liquor station at the FEF is riding with us, so we're trying to find a place to go after the game to sober up before the drive back to Memphis that evening!

RE: [who is going to] Hattiesburg
I wish I could go, I remember flying down a few years ago with the team back when they chartered one of our planes and I got to ride along as the mechanic. We all got tickets to the game (it was Pastners second season) and we had to leave with 1:00 left on the clock to get the plane ready, we were down by about 3, as we were getting in the car we heard the stadium erupt...thought we lost...but were very happy to find out Chris (I think) hit a 3 at the buzzer to win...I had a blast!
