Dont know if they showed it at all on TV but he was coming waaaaay out on the floor during play when the action was on the other end of the court... I can't believe he didnt get a warning or talking to, he totaled ignored the sideline most of the game. At one point he was at least 2 feet out on the court and an asst was behind him even further out.

He came really close a couple of times after they gave him a timeout after Mbodj hung on the rim. He was no happy about being charged that TO.

RE: UC vs Rutgers Game Thread
Another thing I noticed.

I thought Guyn played pretty well aside from an errant pass. But he better stop with the offensive pushing off when he brings the ball up the court. He's done this all season. When a defender gets close to him, and he seems bothered, he pushes them away with his arm, which is a blatant offensive foul. I thought he was going to get called for it last night, and I think Mike Rice went ballistic when they didn't call it late in the game.

Another thing I think the coaches should point out and work on. When our guards have the ball and the defense is overly aggressive, it's b-ball 101 to take advantage of it. They used to coach us that when a defender moves in on you, you start to backoff which typically brings them faster to you, but then you immediately change direction toward them but like you're trying to pass them. It nearly always draws a foul as the defender isn't ready for the change of direction but is still moving, so the contact is on them. We seem to play scared and tentative instead of taking it to them and making them pay for being overly aggressive.

RE: UC vs Rutgers Game Thread
attended the game last night thanks to some free tix from billy bearcat. gave the extra ticket to my buddy who's a new daddy. this was his first night out in quite sometime. had a couple of bell's at fries beforehand. we sat in the student section instead of occupying billy bearcat's seats. the little favor that billy bearcat asked was for me to take a picture of myself at the game. i forgot that. glad to walk to mac's afterwards with a "w."

what was the deal the rutgers inbound play towards the end of the game? did it coincide with jumpin' jack (and he was all jumpin' jack last night) not being allowed to check in for some reason? just bizarre.

No player can enter the game if no time has elapsed. Since Rutgers committed a foul before the ball was entered in bounds, no time went off the clock meaning Jackson couldn't enter in the game.

Mick took JJ out and then tried to bring him back in. Ref said that he could not come in because no time had run off the clock.

Go Bearcats!

The play was stopped because the UC timekeeper started the clock before the ball was touched. By rule, once the clock is reset the play has to start over.

Did anyone notice that SK started the game wearing WHITE sneakers and after missing his first four shots and throwing a bad pass, he switched to RED/BLACK. Superstitious? Hope he brings the "hot" ones to the Rock on Saturday morning.

Go Bearcats!
