Maybe he should change his initials to P.J.

Wish we had a coach whom could command media attention.
We have been blessed with three incredible FB coaches.
Lets hope this one turns out OK.

My God this stuff has to stop. So it's Carey's fault we didn't have college gameday come to one of our basketball games? What?

Hey, good for him. Hopefully, he'll be able to hit the ground running there and have a lot of success.

Anyone else notice the ring on his finger when he was strumming the guitar? That wudn't no Wisconsin Big Ten ring. That was 2011 MAC Championship bling.

Props to Coach Doeren and best of luck in Raleigh. When he inevitably finds himself back in this neck of the woods at some point, the first brew is on me.04-cheers

I think you'll see NC State in the ACC Championship game at some point in the next 3 years, provided they don't jump to the SEC first.

What? You don't remember Doeren Discovers?
http://www.niuhuskies.com/sports/m-footb...overs.html

Sure its no Scott McCreepy. But I for one am looking forward to Carey's Craft Corner where Carey takes on a number of craft projects like building a canoe by hand or visiting the DeKalb Knitting Circle.

That is awesome. I didn't notice that. Undoubtedly it's something to show recruits, but that's still awesome.

I hope so. I'm going to CMU @ NC State this year and cheering on ole Dave.

He picked up a big time QB transfer from Florida a couple weeks ago. Perfect fit for his offense.

Maybe on signing day, Carrey might get some love.
I certainly hope so.
P.S. Carrey is a FB coach not a BB coach.
Our BB failure makes for an excellent backdrop for FB success.

Dave Doeren is a quality person and a quality coach. He gave everything that he had to the Huskie program when he was here. I wish him nothing but success in Raleigh,NC.... And by the way, he highly recommended Rod Carey as our new head coach. DD obviously saw qualities in Carey that projected him to lead this team.

I noticed that too and said something to my roommate when we were watching it live. Jerry had his MAC ring in their bowl game. Think it's awesome no matter what you think of either coach that they are proud of their accomplishment, acknowledge NIU, and know their roots. I wish nothing but the best for DD, unless they schedule us that is.

They still have rings from their MACC appearance the bowl game. Didn't say it was a winner's ring, just a ring.

You seem to be full of unfunded mandates.

He was an incredible recruiter (maybe the best in NIU FB hx.)and a media man who retained his AC's and inspired a FB team. His words were prophetic. Next year we will win the MAC.

Maybe we can use part of the DD $750 000 payout to hire a FB media representative, a top notch recruiter and put up signs stating that Huskie Stadium has the longest winning streak in the nation.
