I hope these views are more accurate then the views on the NIU dorms.

Perhaps. I have the NIU dorms ranked #92 in the nation.

I thought they were ranked higher.
Is it the food?
Maybe we need to get seven to move in to give us a more accurate report. That will also make the dorms safer.

03-lmfao Actually, when I went to NIU, the dorm food was excellent. IIRC, we were among the top in the nation. My girth can attest to that. Gosh, how I LOVED the food in Douglas and the Plaza!!

me too. The dorm food was great. I think we were nationally ranked in that category.
I have a dream that 7 moves onto the most dangerous floor and there shall be peace. Student shall not lift a pillow against another student.
Knives will be converted into pencil sharpeners and the Chicago Tribune will proclaim that NIU has the safest dorms in the country.

The food in Grant sucked. When I switched to University Plaza it was like heaven. Course, that was a long time ago, don't know what it's like now.

University Plaza has long been the top dog in the food department.

I was in both as well and was at UP the year they renovated the cafeteria. I lost weight that year but that had nothing to do with the great UP food and everything to do with turning 21.

Boy... this thread took a left turn. 03-lmfao

Looks like we are the worst ranked team in Illinois since Doeren left? Is Carrey really that bad?At least we may upset Iowa for the first time?
I seriously hope you get run over by a bus.

7 has been unofficially appointed as Rod Carrey's new bodyguard.
NIU AD has plans to triple the number to 21, should NIU lose to Iowa.

I'm in no way big or tough enough to be a body guard. Cybes could probably take me.

7 is very humble. If he was made RA in the worst dorm, the students would become studious.

RE: CFN 2013 Rankings
CFN rankings do not take into account low GPA's, prima donnas and other problems.
That is where Coaches connection to HS coaches comes into play.

The Huskies will enter the season underrated, with a lack of respect and a huge chip on their collective shoulder.

So what's new?

RE: CFN 2013 Rankings
I think CFN just looks at where they put us in the previous 5 years, calculates the average, and puts us there. So it's all scientific.

Much better food in the Stevenson Food court.
Also the Dog Pound Deli in Douglas was a new thing my last year in the dorms. Also few knew about it so it was never had a big line.

Also I am sure the new dorm has much better food than what they served in the the other all you can eat places.

Grant food area is being gutted next year. Not sure if its in use now.

Does the student center still have that cafeteria in it? I used to stop in there for a slice or 2 of pizza and finish my homework right before my Chemistry class. Good times. Not.

That place that overlooked the Huskie Den right? Wow that was a cave.

I know they are going to renovate sections of the student center this year to reopen in F14 so I hope that is part of it.

They do, but I know when we stayed there for the Toledo game last fall they said they were going to be renovating the interior of the Holmes Student Center...
