RE: Your Favorite JMU Sports Moments?
The playoff win at Furman in 2004 is what sent our program to the level it is at now. Furman had us dead to rights after a turnover deep in our own territory and they got no points for it. Rascati had that huge pass down the middle of the field to flip field position. We blocked a punt and a field goal to keep it close, and we won the game on a 4th and 1 off tackle running play with our smallest running back with under a minute to win 14-13.

I think this was mine too. Especially after attending our demoralizing win (if that can be a thing) at Lehigh the week before.

The Furman game was a tremendous and exciting game. They had an FBS quality QB, a Jerome Bettis-like RB and a very stout D. I have that game on DVD. May have to re-watch it tomorrow.

I missed you at the baseball tournament. I took the jousting stick I bought back for a refund.

Since I don’t see that many JMU sporting events I have a limited repitoire.

RE: Your Favorite JMU Sports Moments?
In Lane Stadium the moment VT fans realized JMU could run out the clock and the game was over. 5x better feeling than a win in Frisco because the focus/resource gap is so wide compared to the fcs field that it feels like, "of course we won, how can we excuse not winning?"

RE: Your Favorite JMU Sports Moments?
MyTop 5 in-person FB games:

1) App State at BFS. Coming back from being down 21-0 was amazing. Greatest BFS atmosphere ever.
2) NDSU in Fargo. Loud and rowdy JMU crew and then walking out into the freezing cold as winners with very gracious Bizon fans all around
3) CHokies. Watching all the maroon and orange walking out of Lane Stadium in utter shock is/was priceless.
4) Frisco - Part 1 (YSU) - Don't remember much of the game (mixers had frozen so just did shots pre-game) but what I do remember was great.
5) No Flags. Didn't hear the call till later, but that game set us on the path to where we are today

RE: Your Favorite JMU Sports Moments?
1. NC in 2004. Just special, beating a perennial FCS power in the Griz, and a never to be forgotten road trip with my dad.
2. Win over VT. Only the second time in history a ranked team loses to a FCS team. After an 0-2 start, VT did not lose again. They were good, but the timing could not have been more perfect for the upset.
3. Win over W&M in the semi-finals in 2004. The tailgating, the horn, the hair, the rivalry, the energy, 1st night game at Zable on ESPN - it had it all, and the game was pure excitement all around. My family has been season ticket holders ever since. Special thanks to JMUNation for the tickets, whose only condition was a donation to the Duke Club - best money ever spent.
4. Winning the CAA Title in basketball after a 19-year long drought. Sadly, it was year with an asterisk by it given the circumstances (9 CAA teams that year I think?), but a dominating performance and it felt like magic for JMU Bball for a day. Gave me a sense of what could be/could have been in that sport.
5. Tie between App St. win in 2008 and NDSU in Fargo. What a comeback and best energy ever at BFS! On the other hand, how can taking down NDSU at their dome in the playoffs not be a top 5? Had I been there it would easily make top three I think.

I agree with you, but would probably throw Va Tech in as #2.

Home App State game would probably be a tie for me with Furman.

Yep, when others mentioned some other games, I agree I should of included them. 02-13-banana

Tech has to be #2. Home App State was also a big one for me.
