I think somebody is in Adonis' ear. Like lay low until the draft or something. He never seems to be engaged in the game to me. Weird. Either that or he is afraid to get hurt.
You watch his vids from High School and he is so athletic. Now he looks like he can't even jump. I just know something is going on but I can't figure out what it is.
Better be careful with that kind of talk
Would you agree something doesn't look right?

Yep. For 2 years now.
Sad to see a physical specimen hanging around outside all the action, when it would seem that he could be a genuine game changer.
Hope he turns the corner for everyone's sake.

whoever is in adonis ear is giving him bad advice, his draft stock has plummeted, and he is playing basketball like he would prefer to join the peace corps. his shot is finally coming round but he needs some of djs mexican jumping beans, adonis has completely forgotten how to attack the rim.

looks like legitimate constructive criticism/questioning to me!
I've noticed the same thing. Not sure the reason. Obviously he should be completely recovered from that injury by now, unless there's another that we never heard about. He doesn't seem 100% that's for sure.

RE: Question For Any Basketball Gurus
Marshall is the tallest team in college basketball.
For the season we are out rebounding opponents by 5 a game so it is not really this fatal problem, even if today Marshall's 2d half offensive rebounding was really good.
So- whatever they are doing is working overall.
Specifically in this game it was less successful.

Yes, that was the official reason given for Black having so many fewer rebounds than Barton.

it looks to me like the bigs focus on blocking out, and if the ball comes to them they get it, otherwise they hope someone else gets it. Which is a problem when cc and jj are trying to go running up the floor before we secure the rebound
our bigs are not good at rebounding outside of their area

RE: Question For Any Basketball Gurus
Weird thing is, you ask a random person who is the better rebounder between Shaq and Tarik the resounding belief is Shaq is much better.
Per 30 minutes:
Shaq: Pts: 12.0 Rebs: 7.1
Tarik: Pts: 14.6 Rebs: 7.5

I called BS on your BS----on that being someone's official reason, not necessarily the staff's viewpoint.
Other than that, I really just like saying #saloogied.

Rebounding does indeed require some technique but the overwhelming necessity is DESIRE and energy. DJ doesn't have the anywhere near what could be condiered sound fundamental technique ... but the motor is ALWAYS running on the red line.
Therefore - he gets a TON of boards.

That's how I taught it, back 'em out, then go for the ball.
