Hamilton to Louisville
Billy Hamilton, the Cincinnati Reds #1 prospect will be assigned to the Reds triple A farm team in Louisville for 2013. It was announced by the Reds GM this week. Hamilton will mature at centerfield, a move from shortstop where he was earlier projected to play. He stole a major league record 155 bases last year in three minor league stops.

RE: Hamilton to Louisville
I watched the futures game last summer and saw him steal third base as the catcher was throwing it back to the pitcher. He was standing on the bag before the TV crew even realized what was going on

I'll take Choo any day of the week. The Reds are going to bring in Hamilton, let Choo go and lose alot in the exchange.

Assuming Hamilton shows he can hit or at least get on base at the AAA level (so far, not so good), I hope the Reds bring him up to play CF, then Jocketty pulls a rabbit out of his hat and signs Choo to an extension to move to LF.

wouldn't be incredibly surprising. The Reds aren't the Dodgers, but they're not the Marlins or Astros either. Depending on Choo's demands, I could see him back with the Reds. It'll probably be an interesting free agency campaign, as he turns 31 this July. Will he be looking for 5-7 years?
