Marshall adds 3 Star ShyKeem Pitts.

Looks like Pitts may be a hidden gem. He has great hands, but may end up playing another position at Marshall besides WR.

I think Corey Smith is another one. But we got a 3* kid from Indiana who's slotted for the same position before this so it's not that bad.

Marshall adds 2 Star RB Tony Pittman from Hampton Rhodes VA

For Marshall fans, I think he reminds me of the way Chris Parker ran the ball. He will hit you in the mouth and the go another 5 yards with the ball. He looks to be about the stature of Parker also. Not the biggest on the field but def. one of the most physical. What I like about the kid is he just looks like a little bulldog and it looks like he never goes down on th 1st hit. With Grooms, Butler and Watson, I would think Pittman will be RS this year.

Offers From:
Cincy
Miami FL
Northern Illinois
Ole Miss
Old Dominion
Purdue
Syacuse

Marshall and Tulsa lead the way in recruiting. They seem to do a great job year in and year out.

Coach Holiday and staff have and continue to do an excellent job recruiting and even more so do an excellent job red shirting the talent and not rushing them into the field. There was some thread way early this year over the summer or early fall where people were talking recruiting and acting like the recruiting situation then meant anything in regards to the upcoming February signing day. I laughed at them then and said Doc Holiday and staff will easily bring in the talent to play at Marshall and they have and will continue to up to signing day as we still have multiple high rated recruits on the verge of commitment. I know some say that rankings don't matter and only results do. True but of that were the case Alabama, USc etc wouldn't recruit 5 & 4 stars and give out more 2 & 3 star offers. We all know that's not happening and that while ranking high schools seniors is t an exact science it does work and give an idea of the potential.

Kids that RS or sat out last year that I can think of off my head:

Kent Turene- LB
Josh Brown- OT
AJ Leggett- CB
Corey Tindal- CB
Chris Alston- WR
Devon Johnson- LB
Gunnar Holcombe- QB
Gary Thompson- LB
Tyler Combs- OT
Marcus Gilchrist- DE
Ryan Riedel- LB/TE
Josh Murriel- OT
Deyonte Henderson- LB
Eric Ansley- OT
Shawney Kersey- WR (Transfer)
Devon Smith- WR (Transfer)

Most of these kids were highly sought after recruits out of HS. There are a few in there like Tyler Combs and Corey Tendal who looks like they may have fell through the cracks.
