Yep...I've fished the Elk River in WV once (TN has an Elk River by Lynchburg). It was fun but I went a little too early and didn't really know where to go besides near the fly shop. It's beautiful country. Only place I've been that' probably more hilly than East TN. I'm trying to get my own business going right now (we will see what happens). If I can get some cash flow going I may make a road trip to a game. I'll let you know if I do. I have an extra fly rod.

I'm over the mountains in western NC. Holding your flask and fly fishing at the same time in a snowy gorge in January is when you realize you have a fly fishing problem.

I have this feeling that Marshall/Charlotte has a lot of potential to develop into a solid rivalry. There are so many West Virginia-born folks living in North Carolina that could make that one real interesting.

Nothing like it in the whole world. Toss out your fly....wait...watch....BAM! A trout rises to it and hits it like a lion attacks its' pray. Then go back to camp and not a soul around...just you and the mountains...then later the bears.

I actually think a heated rivalry between North Texas and La Tech came as a result of that smack board. Close-by rivalries are good and we will all drink to that very soon. I do wish yall were coming to Apogee in the first season, though, but....oh well.

Hog Dog and I actually had some real smack board donnybrooks over at BB&B years ago until Dwayne of Minden ended that by kicking me off his board! That really did hurt my feelings, too.

I would like to defeat Marshall.

I will be pulling for UNT in games against La Tech. That is all.

I for one think it's silly to base opinions of new conference mates on old second hand accounts and over the top message boards. We will all end up hating someone in this conference, I'm going to give everyone an equal opportunity.
