CUSA basketball (including new additions)
I know this has been discussed, but I am surprised at the lack of attention this leauge is getting about the level of play we will be at in Bball, currently and next year.
La. Tech 17-3
Middle Tn 17-4
Charlotte 16-3
Southern Miss-16-4
Tulsa-12-8
I realize the bottom isnt pretty, but I'm rather impressed at the top half CUSA will have.

And not to mention UAB and ODU are far below their usual levels. CUSA basketball will be good, and I think we'll be looking at probably 3 bids per year on average.

I can't remember the last time there was this much excitement for college basketball in Ruston that didn't have to do with the Lady Techsters

We'll soon have WKU on board as well. Not sure how they are this year, but they're normally solid.
This league will be full of deceptively good programs. We really need to have a few teams overperform in the NCAA tournament though because we're given any respect.

always routed for WKU.. but they are not the bball program they were a few years ago. After their coach bolted for SC, they haven't had a great season since. They would, at this point, be a better football/baseball addition as oposed to a bball addition. However, I hope that changes, used to enjoy watching some hilltopper basketball.

How are the Lady Techsters doing nowadays ?
Since they left the Sun Belt, our Lady Raiders have dominated.

The only time you could say there was as much excitement was when Millsap was here and even then we weren't really this good.
The era from Karl Malone to PJ Brown was essentially eclipsed by the success of the Lady T's.

Both. With ODU and La Tech, that's some solid women's basketball. MTSU has had some good years, as has UAB. UAB currently holds the record for a CUSA women's team in terms of advancing in the NCAA tournament (Sweet 16). I'm looking forward to the challenge though as I'm sure La Tech and ODU will raise the standards for UAB and others in the league.
In general, I think the new CUSA will be pretty solid in most sports.

Agreed. Our women have been dancing 8 out of last 9 years and total of 15 times. Pretty solid program-- and we average around 4k per game, which is 20th in the nation, I believe.
Looking forward to it.
No more going undefeated in conference, however.

Was thinking the CUSA now has two of the top three all time winningest programs in women's basketball. ÒDU and La Tech have meet in Final Fours. Looking forward to a very solid conference in both men's and women's basketball. We're rebuilding, trying to get back. Three years ago we were Top-10 in the Sweet 16, not as hot right now.
Don't have a clue what happen to the men's team this year, after 8 years of post season play. Well I do, but that's a long story.

Your gonna make it tougher. Plus last time i looked we were bringing in a few more teams with higer rpis than the teams leaving.
We have never played mt but we do play UALR every year and know how tough they are.

Here are the top 3 and two are in CUSA. I didn't see Delta State on the list and most of their wins came before NCAA women's BB became acknowledged.
Rank...Program......Seasons...wins..losses...%
1 Tennessee..........1903 59 1191 265 .818
2 Louisiana Tech....1975 38 1017 227 .818
3 Old Dominion......1970 43 940 346 .731

Charlotte has a BRUTAL February: UMASS, @ Temple, VCU, @ Butler, @ St Louis, Temple, Dayton.
Big game tomorrow at George Washington, we haven't won there since joining A10.
