Pure speculation, Greg Garmon would be a nice pickup
This article says former Iowa RB Greg Garmon is considering "several MAC schools". I would have to believe we're on that list. He would probably be a good fit for our offense.

Someone let the staff, that's been sitting on it's hands since being hired,(sarcasm alert) know about this guy.

He would have to sit a year but he did not take a RS season yet so he would still have 3 years remaining.

I mentioned this in the recruiting thread. Kid would be an absolute stud in our offense and has experience as a kick returner.

I follow Iowa pretty closely and when he originally asked for his release, he mentioned he would be looking into FCS schools because he didn't want to sit out a season. Maybe that has changed.

Would definitely be a great get. He was a 4 star recruit that had offers from basically the entire Big Ten and Big 12. He also had offers from Kent State and Buffalo and they may have recontacted him after he decided to leave Iowa. Of course we'll probably never know if our coaches even contacted him.

searched his name on twitter and there was speculation a week ago that he is transferring to WVU. makes sense. that was fun while it lasted.

Iowa running backs have the great ability to get arrested multiple times. I'd stear clear of this one too.

So the Iowa coaches go out and recruit criminals at one position? Nice generalization. What would even give you the impression that Garmon has any issues with the law?

Either way this should fade onto page 2 pretty quickly. He's not coming to NIU.

Now there's some flawless logic.

Well, 7, I think his point is that Iowa running backs are usually too friggin slow to get away from the police, and the ones that wash out are the slowest of that lot.... therefore to pursue one might be inadvisable.

Greg Garmon is transfering to Butte College in Northern California. It's a junior college.

What are the rules for a player if they transfer to a junior college for 1 year, can they transfer to FBS the next year?

Not positive but I think that because he's a bounceback he has to graduate from JC before moving on. Someone who goes straight from high school to JC can move on whenever they feel like it.
