We scored more in the 2nd half than they did the entire game as well

1st half was 53-17
2nd half was 49-29
Total was 102-46

We scored more during our 47-4 1st half run than they did the whole game....and the 47-4 run was tweeted by espn sportscenter

Marshall fans, keep scrolling.

This is not intended to rub it in. I just have a morbid fascination with brutal statistics. I did the same thing this fall with our football team.

USM shot 36-of-57 from the floor.

Marshall finished the game with only 12 defensive rebounds as a team.

USM had 20 steals. Davis and Brooks with four steals a piece. Six Eagles with multiple rips.

31 turnovers total for Marshall. Prior to this game, DeAndre Kane's assist-to-turnovers ratio was a solid 107:45. That ratio was 2:11 tonight.

Marshall shot 13-of-33 from the line (39.4%). USM shot 55% from three-point range.

USM made 36 field goals. There was an assist on 25 of those.

USM went on runs of 21-0 and 12-0 in the opening ten minutes. That would eventually add up to a 39-3 run.

Two field goals for Marshall in the opening 14+ minutes. For one five minute stretch, Marshall could not even attempt a field goal.

I don't think anyone believes the deficit between the two teams is anywhere near this lopsided. Clearly, everything that could have gone bad for Marshall did, and the other way around for USM. Nonetheless, that was a beating for the ages. Your guys will be PISSED when we see you in Huntingdon.
