I hate seeing these people who call themselves journalists keep featuring Memphis in bubble watch type articles, but I am going to put a positive spin on this. Last year we were featured in a lot of these same type articles all year. Why? Because we are a relevant program. And when they put together articles like this, they can feature our top program to garner some attention. When a major program like Memphis "struggles", writers will capitalize on their relevance to bring in readers. At least that's what I am going to tell myself...

It's a shame. He's right, it's not exactly our fault that Northern Iowa, Ohio, Tennessee, Loyola, MD, and Harvard have all under achieved. For that matter, so has Marshall - who many expected to contend for an at-large. On the other hand, those are somewhat spotty programs to "rely" upon having good seasons.

My sense is that if we take care of business, avoid any "bad" losses - and win 3/4 of (@ UTEP, @ Xavier, @ECU, @ USM) --- we'll be in really good shape. There's a lot of season left and those 4 games are legit enough to garner some positive attention if you win them.

I've noticed that too. Someone posted a picture of DJ dunking at 2011 Memphis Madness. Joe was in the background. He looked like a little boy compared to now.
