So what play did Joe get his T ? I was told it was this one.

Joe never got a T. At one point the refs called a foul on Joe, and Tarrant chest bumped Joe and started talking trash. Joe said a word or two, but he put his hands straight up and walked away. Refs talked it over but assessed no techs. Should have been a tech on Tarrant though, he pushed Joe and got in his face. Funniest part was Pastner sprinting across the floor to corral his guys, coach still has some spring in his step.

ok...box score shows Joe with a T. I have pics of that ...will post them later today. http://www.gotigersgo.com/sports/m-baskb...m0122.html

It was a T....officially. BS call in reality05-nono

They said on TV that they assessed a double technical on JJ and Tarrant.

RE: no harm no foul ?
I never saw a T
We sit right in front of where it happened
The incident occurred, little push/shove between the two
coach P did the 40 in 1.2 seconds to separate them
refs "got control" of the situation
walked to the scorers table and called a hold on jackson
they might have called offsetting T's but the announcer did not say so...
maybe check and see if skillet from tulane got one too?

Basically. That is why no free throws were shot and played just resumed with Tulane inbounding the ball.

That's what I was thinking. I'm trying to remember the last time I saw that in a game.

RE: no harm no foul ?
I read on twitter later that JP got the T for sprinting across the floor, but the announcers didn't say anything about it. Who knows?

You're right. Right after I typed that I figured I better check, ESPN box score shows 1 tech for Joe and 1 on Tulane. I didn't think they assessed any techs, I remember listening to the announcer and all he said was personal foul on Joe. Guess they double teched them.

The new announcer will learn in time--but if they assessed at tech, he didn't announce it. Gotta let the crowd know so we can boo/cheer accordingly.

RE: no harm no foul ?
I think should have a a Technical foul assessed when their couch ran onto the court before the play had been stopped, and also the basket made at the whistle should have counted as well. Can't say they stopped play last game when DJ was on the baseline in agony, instead Harvard had a 4-on-5 advantage! Not fair at all! Think Cal had someone take their officiating tests for them!!!

Go Tigers Go!!
