I thought he did a good job-he knows his basketball

Every once in a while he would let his Ole Miss underwear show, but all in all pretty fair.

I sure hope Tuohy gave free tacos for life to whichever casting agent put Tim McGraw in his role.

If people believe that it's 'obvious bias' when he says a team 'should or shouldn't do this' or 'needs to do this' then you just probably need to turn the tv sound down and listen to WRVR during the game or seriously develop some thicker skin. Besides, he may read this board looking for people to take to the Super Bowl on the 3rd or at least invite some of us to his Super Bowl pre game party in New Orleans!

Here's some pictures from December 1979 of Ole Miss and Tuohy playing the Tigers. Tigers won 80-75. That's Tuohy calling the timeout and OJ shooting over him in another. I had recently purchased a Minolta XG7 camera that still works today although film is hard to find. Apologies to Miss J since these old, faded prints aren't anywhere near her quailty.

Man I love seeing those pictures from the Coliseum.

A couple of random questions ? If I remember , # 22 was Craig Moore. I was only seven at the time, but I seem to remember his nickname was "Mohead". I wonder if anybody can confirm. It kind of shocks me that I remember that kind of thing because I haven't thought about it in 30 years.

Also, I thought in 1979 we had a different mascot, but I see the same one down there. It seems like we used to have one that wasn't nearly as bubble headed and the orange was darker.

If I recall properly, Touey - normally an excellent free throw shooter - missed a couple of critical free throws that aided greatly a Tiger victory. Does anyone else remember it?

The way I see it is... We should be thankful that any station and also stations other than CSS even televise our games. We could go back to the late 90s where there was no TV for Tiger games. That being said, I don't care who they have calling the games. They could have Bruce Pearl and Denny Crum announce for all I care. I can always hit mute on the TV. I don't think Pranica/Touhy are all that bad.

Exactly. And the Ole Miss call in show is sponsored by the Mississippi-based auto dealership group owned by a former Memphis Tiger football player. 05-stirthepot
