Umm, maybe you didn't notice but without Black (and Crawford) last night we probably lose.

Picking up fouls equates to laziness? Please elaborate.

Because you are out of position and end up playing with your hands instead of your body. Basketball 101.

I won't say that Tarik doesn't have a problem playing with his hands instead of his body, but I don't view it as an effort issue. He has footwork problems and he over-compensates on help defense sometimes, but I've never attributed it to laziness with him.

His help defense is what get's him in trouble. The problem with that, as has already been pointed out, is our guard play at times. If he has the luxury of staying in position he is far less foul prone.

Totally agree, it is a ridiculous post...
Black is the last line of defense, so when the guards let their man by them, Black has to cover 2 guys and sometimes 3...

^this.

Our guards let that happen TOO often.

Another thing to those of you who are calling Tarik's foul trouble a product of "laziness" - Where is the hate for Shaq? Shaq has had consistent foul trouble all year. Is he lazy as well or are the insults only directed at upperclassmen?
