RE: Conference USA games for Wednesday 01-23-13
Teams we want to win:
UCF - Play them twice.
S. Miss - Keep their NCAA hopes alive, and remain in the top 50 of RPI.
UAB vs. ECU - Doesn't matter. We play both teams twice.
Houston vs. Tulsa - I suppose we want Tulsa to win this one to try and make the RPI top 100.
Most important of the night to root for would be S. Miss.

USM is legit, it appears. Up 39 - 6 on Marshall.

Marshall has 12 turnovers. USM is 8-12 from 3s, 17-24 overall.
Glad Southern Miss is getting this out of their system.

Unfortunately, USM has played an abysmal schedule--their "best" win is a home win vs. Denver. Lost to La. Tech, Arizona, NSMU (not UNM) and Wichita State. Basically every decent team.
Outside of blowing out the Northwestern States and William Carey's of the world, this just makes this game against Marshall that much more suspect.

I wouldn't say their schedule has been abysmal, but I agree they lack quality wins. They are currently 0-4 vs. the top 100 of the RPI but are 14-0 vs. RPI 101 or worse and 2-0 vs. non-D1 opponents.

UCF won a whole bunch of games last year and snuck into the top 25 before they lost 10 straight. USM is a good team, but I think they're playing out of their minds right now. I don't expect it to last.

RE: Conference USA games for Wednesday 01-23-13
**FINAL**
in Birmingham,
UAB- 85 (8-11, 0-4)
East Carolina- 91 (12-6, 3-2)
UAB's crappy season continues. They have now lost 5 in a row. ECU has won 3 of their last 4.
**FINAL**
in Houston,
Houston- 72 (12-6, 1-4)
Tulsa- 87 (12-8, 4-2)
Tulsa under Danny Manning keeps on with their surprisingly good play. TU has won 6 of their last 9 and is 2-2 in C-USA road games. Houston has lost 4 straight and look like they are well on their way to a complete collapse in C-USA (just like last year).

RE: Conference USA games for Wednesday 01-23-13
Tigers up to 41 at rpiforecast with an expected RPI of 32. The schedule is backloaded with some tougher conference road games. I'm worried about @ ECU, they are playing well and we lost their 2 years ago. USM will probably be favored against us and @ UTEP will be a tough test. RPI forecast gives us a 1.07% chance of winning out, from a real world perspective, I think it's better than that, but not a whole lot better.
