Good luck to the Green Wave the rest of the way (unless the Tigers see them in the C-USA tournament).

They were not nearly in the same class as the teams that Ned Fowler had at Tulane back when Kirk was coach...before they shaved points. Perry Clark had some really good teams, too.

I agree. But, this team appears to me to be the best Tulane team since those Perry Clark teams from the early to mid 90s.

Agreed on all fronts...John Williams was easily the toughest foe Keith Lee had...Just ask him, he'll tell you

They are going to get really good in the BE if they hang on to their coach. Their offensive execution, spacing, and decision making was really good -- until they got worn down in the 2nd half.

I see bright things for them in the future...

Except they seem to dislike their coach because recruiting has been weak. I'm just going by their comments.

Nope, they did ask him (at the time), and I remember his answer. It was Rodney.

I meant ask John Williams himself...He said, back in the day that he was Keith's toughest opponent...When Williams was a pro he did an interview in SPORT magazine and they asked him who the toughest opponent he ever faced was and he said Keith Lee at Memphis State

I keep hearing how bad CUSA is this year, but the team we played tonight was no cupcake, especially in the first half.

Tulane is currently the 110th rated team in the Pomeroy rankings. Here are their rankings from the three prior years:

12' 190
11' 185
10' 218

A drastic improvement.

Tulane executed well however the Tigers should have won by 20 plus points, considering the talent and experience the Tigers possess.

One of the best teams we've seen in recent seasons relative to rebounding positioning and effort. Had they had a couple more guys to bring off the bench, it might not have turned out so well for the Tigers.

RE: Tip of the hat to the Tulane Green Wave
Been watching Tulane basketball as an opponent to our Tigers since the early 80's and the team I saw last night was easily the best Tulane team I've seen since the Perry Clark years. I hope that they can hang on to their coach and recruit some more good players. Good to see them competitive again. They definitely could be a surprise in the CUSA tourney if they rebound well and hit some timely 3's.

I was impressed.

They are a tough team and Josh Davis can really rebound and plays with passion.
