Same playground basketball, looks like my coogs with a little more defense. I see your coach sucks as well.

I know this doesn't help any, but this was an impressive game by the Green Wave. First half shooting and man-up defense inside the whole games.

Good luck the rest of the way Wave fans.

Agreed. Impressed with the Wave effort. Going to be a good season for them, and watch out Memphis in N.O.

We gave it a good effort, but it's the same story we've had for 3 years under Conroy. No depth (lack of recruiting and not developing any during our weak pre league schedule), unable to adjust to tighter defense, players get tired, and another league loss.
Memphis is excellent and congrats to the Tigers.

Memphis can't sleepwalk through the first 15 minutes and sit Black the first half, that's for sure.

Thanks DrBox. You guys had us on the ropes. We're fortunate that whatever was going on with Black was resolved to enough of everyone's satisfaction for him to play the second half. Otherwise, it's a different game in the final 20 minutes.

Ultimately, that's our problem. You just can't win these games with 5 guys.

We don't play them in New Orleans this year.

I watched the game again and I think the close score (until the very end) was due to Tulane playing good and not because of Memphis playing bad. Davis was impressive.

I was very impressed with the Green Wave. They were very tough and game into the Forum with no fear. Just judging from previous Memphis-Tulane games, but that appears to be the best Tulane hoops team since the Perry Clark days.

Oops, used to playing 1-1 in the WAC

They made it a man's game in the paint. Glad Black was "eligible."

Can't really do that once you exceed 10 teams.
